Executive summary
An Impressit team works alongside the new tech department of G.Network, the fastest-growing networking company in London. We are responsible for the backend and frontend development of business automation solutions based on state-of-the-art technologies. Newly built solutions include a fully automated provisioning system, customer and partner portals, and internal resource management. These solutions represent a big step towards manual work reduction and increased client satisfaction.
Client background
G.Network is a next-generation communications service provider who is rebuilding London’s broadband network from the fibre upwards.
London is a leading 21st Century city, yet its broadband still runs through a network of old copper wires that date back to the 19th Century. Whilst consumers in the area might think they already have ultra-fast fibre broadband, the truth is that so-called fibre broadband is most likely to be dependent on an old and congested copper wire network.
G.Network is solely using a 100% fibre network that is incredibly fast and provides its users with ultimate Internet speeds of up to 10 Gbps. They are digging up street after street, laying down miles of 100% fibre network that is completely copper-free. A team of surveyors and engineers is taking care of all installation processes and legal permissions to create a 21st Century fibre network that will future-proof London’s broadband for decades to come.
Objectives
Before the collaboration, G.Network ran most of their processes and new customer connections manually in SalesForce. Due to the large influx of new clients and ambitious forward planning, the company began to consider automating most of their business processes. It was decided to create a new system to reduce manual work and therefore operational time and cost. The challenge was to find a highly qualified squad of engineers that could deliver results quickly enough; that's where Impressit jumped into the game.
The main goal was the fast delivery of the first project. That's why we were responsible for team selection and assistance in setting up the development processes and architecture.

Due to a positive previous experience of working with the Impressit team, G.Network shortlisted us for this critical assignment. During the vendor selection process we clearly demonstrated our capability to quickly assemble a team of software developers that could deliver results, assist in making key decisions and meet all of G.Network’s requirements.

With in a short period, we managed to form a team of 7 full-stack engineers, 2 QA specialists, 1 DevOps engineer and 1 Product Manager. At the beginning of 2020, the team started work on the first project in software development for telecom: a wholesale system for the company's partners that automates customer management. A few additional team members joined down the road and with the use of the Agile workflow along with well-structured processes and modern technologies, we successfully delivered every sprint on time and fully met our partner's expectations. As a result, the initial project was successfully delivered in the summer of 2020.
Right now our team consists of 12 members who are actively working on a number of related projects both on the backend and frontend. These include a retail system, a wholesale portal, and new software for automated network devices configuration.
The last of these is a hugely exciting challenge for our team. Connection with devices is created directly via software. Our mission is to make sure that the software will set up devices automatically and in a simple manner for each user. Our team has already conducted detailed research to consider every possible connection setting and error scenario for each specific device. This will make for a seamless initial set-up, and 24/7 connection monitoring will help us to avoid unexpected disconnections in the future.

From the very beginning, we quickly assembled a team of highly qualified engineers, thus reducing operational costs and time for onboarding. We actively assisted in setting up development processes and architecture to make sure that our team could deliver results more efficiently. The wholesale API was delivered in Summer 2020, therefore all the requirements have been met and new channels for partnerships are now open.
Our team took part in creating unique software for automatic device setup and real-time monitoring. This will reduce time, cost and errors during manual setup; moreover, the level of customer satisfaction will rise as a result.
At the moment our team is actively working on a number of projects both on the back-end and front-end, creating Retail API, finishing every sprint on time and delivering a high standard of results.
