Cookie Overview

This website employs five distinct cookie categories to optimize your experience: strictly necessary cookies, analytics cookies, marketing cookies, preferences cookies, and partners cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off; the other four are offered as individual toggles when you manage your cookie preferences. A detailed explanation of each category and a corresponding list of cookies within those categories is provided below.

Cookie List

Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website's core functionality and cannot be disabled within our systems. Their activation is typically triggered by user actions that constitute a service request, such as configuring privacy preferences, logging in, or completing forms. These cookies do not retain any personally identifiable information.

Analytics Cookies

These cookies permit us to quantify website visitation and traffic sources. This data is instrumental in gauging and enhancing the website's performance. The information gathered by these cookies is anonymized through aggregation. Should you disable these cookies, we will be unable to ascertain your visitations or monitor the website's effectiveness.

Marketing Cookies

This website utilizes marketing cookies to implement various forms of targeted digital marketing initiatives. These initiatives are employed with the dual purpose of enhancing your user experience and supporting the ongoing maintenance, operation, and improvement of our website. Marketing cookies function by accumulating user data and behavioral information, which is then leveraged by advertising services to tailor advertisements to specific audience segments based on pre-defined characteristics. This category governs both advertising storage and the personalization of ads, so switching Marketing off is what stops personalized advertising and remarketing — ads selected on the basis of your previous interactions with this website.

Preferences Cookies

This relates to storing data that enhances the personalization of content beyond advertising. For example, video recommendations on a streaming platform would rely on this type of storage to tailor content suggestions to the individual user's tastes and viewing history. The same category also covers functional storage: data kept so that a website can remember the choices you make and behave the way you left it.

Partners Cookies

This controls whether the user data collected on this website may be sent to our advertising partners — Google, by way of Google Tag Manager — for advertising purposes. It governs that sharing alone. Whether the ads you are subsequently shown are personalized, including remarketing based on your previous interactions with this website, is governed by the Marketing category above.

Changes to the Policy

This policy might be updated occasionally. If major changes are made, we'll try to let you know. This could be through a clear notice on our website for a while, or even directly via email (depending on what's reasonable).

Named Cookies and When They Are Set

The categories above describe what each kind of cookie does. The named cookies below are worth calling out on their own, because of when each one is set and what governs it.

_GRECAPTCHA. This cookie is set by Google reCAPTCHA, which we use to tell genuine enquiries apart from automated spam and abuse. The reCAPTCHA script is requested from Google at the moment you submit a form on this website, such as our contact form — never while you are simply reading a page. Because it protects a service you asked us to perform, it is a strictly necessary security cookie and is not governed by the analytics or marketing choices above. You can still remove it through your browser settings.

_ga and _gid. These analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics, which reaches your browser only through Google Tag Manager, and we load Google Tag Manager only after you have granted cookie consent. Until then, and for anyone who rejects all cookies, Google Tag Manager is never requested and neither cookie is set. Neither is set without analytics consent either: without it Google Analytics is told that analytics storage is denied, and it runs without these cookies. If you withdraw analytics consent we pass that withdrawal to Google Tag Manager through Google Consent Mode — both to a container already running and ahead of any later load — so it stops reading and writing analytics cookies and identifiers. We also expire any _ga or _gid cookie already stored, on a best-effort basis: a cookie our script cannot reach may remain in your browser until it expires or you delete it through your browser settings.

You can review or change your analytics consent at any time with the Manage cookie preferences button at the top of this page.
