Executive Summary
The main responsibilities of the Impressit team on this project include frontend support (including bug fixing and improvements), the development of new features as well as the development of new sub-projects.
The improvements made with the participation of our team significantly boosted the performance of the applications and made an impact on the following development plans. Sub-projects that the Impressit team is involved in the development of are an important part of the project that adds tremendous value to the users.
Client Background
In 2018, a group of motivated and experienced professionals decided to launch a startup that would bring innovation to the airlines and aviation industry. At the moment, Airxelerate offers two solutions that help touristic enterprises and airlines optimize costs, save time, and improve day-to-day operations in general.
Challenges and Objectives
Our team’s main achievement at the moment is the development of a separate React Native application from scratch. To put it simply, this is a flight management application where one can view flight information, manage passengers, and manage and view flight statistics.
Another part of the project Impressit was involved in was the development of the reporting system that now allows the users to create weekly and monthly reports with large data grids and charts, manage and export them.
Our team also made a great contribution to the process of migration of the frontend part of the project to the new tech stack that includes Next.js and other current technologies.
Right now, work is currently underway on another ancillary and seats sub-project, which focuses on detailed in-flight seat management.
Value Delivered
First and foremost, the migration from the old technologies to the fresh new tech stack allowed to boost the applications’ performance, add caching and a number of other improvements. Overall, the speed of the website increased up to ten times according to various metrics.
Our team has also mentored the frontend team on the customer’s side and acts as a technical consultant during the development of the new features and planning of future improvements.
Speaking of future cooperation, a number of integrations with different airlines are planned as well as a new sub-project. The Impressit team will be heavily involved in those.
