About the project
Impressit is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our engineering team and work across several client projects that we deliver with an AI-native approach.
For us, AI is not a feature we add at the end of development - it is part of how we design, build, and ship software. We are looking for an engineer who is genuinely excited about where software engineering is heading and is already using AI as a core part of their development workflow.
This is a genuinely full-stack role. You will work across the entire product lifecycle - from data modeling and system architecture to APIs, frontend interfaces, infrastructure, and AI-powered functionality. You will have significant ownership and autonomy, often taking a feature or prototype from an initial business problem to a working production solution.
Our work is increasingly focused on value-based delivery: solving real business problems quickly and efficiently rather than simply delivering hours of development. This means you should be comfortable working with incomplete requirements, making pragmatic technical decisions, building prototypes quickly, and using AI to accelerate delivery without compromising engineering quality.

What you will do
— Use AI tooling as a core part of your daily workflow and help improve how the team works with AI
— Build backend services with Python and FastAPI
— Design database schemas and evolve them safely as products grow
— Make practical architecture decisions and contribute to system design
— Build production interfaces with React and Next.js
— Own the infrastructure your services run on, primarily using AWS, with some projects on dedicated servers
— Build and deploy applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
— Rapidly prototype and deliver solutions based on real business requirements
— Build AI-powered features, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, automations, and LLM-powered functionality
— Review and validate AI-generated code, architecture, and infrastructure, taking responsibility for the final result
— Work across multiple client projects and collaborate with delivery and cross-functional teams
— Occasionally contribute as a technical expert to consultations, requirement discovery, or pre-sales activities

What we expect
— 3+ years of commercial development experience, with Python as a core technology
— Strong production-level experience with FastAPI, including async patterns, dependency injection, Pydantic, background tasks, and API design
— Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, schema design, indexing, query analysis, and performance tuning
— Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy and Alembic, including database migrations on live data
— Commercial experience with React and Next.js, including routing, SSR, SSG, and streaming
— Experience with Tailwind CSS or a similar library, and the ability to build responsive and accessible interfaces
— Practical system design and architecture experience, with a good understanding of monoliths, modular monoliths, microservices, and event-driven systems
— Familiarity with Onion / Hexagonal Architecture or similar approaches
— Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD
— Working knowledge of Linux, nginx, systemd, TLS, backups, and basic server administration
— Strong problem-solving, debugging, and Computer Science fundamentals
— AI-assisted development as a daily habit: you actively use agentic coding tools and know how to structure work so they produce reliable results
— Understanding of spec-driven development, context engineering, and prompt engineering
— Genuine interest in AI technologies and modern AI-native development approaches
— Upper-Intermediate English or higher
— Strong production-level experience with FastAPI, including async patterns, dependency injection, Pydantic, background tasks, and API design
— Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, schema design, indexing, query analysis, and performance tuning
