About the project
Impressit is looking for a Automation QA Engineer (part-time) to strengthen a distributed product team during MVP release preparation. The product spans both web and desktop (Windows) applications. You will work alongside a full-time QA Engineer, focusing primarily on expanding automation coverage while providing manual testing support when needed.
The engagement is planned for September – October, with a possibility of increased hours closer to the October release and potential extension post-release.

What you will do
— Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript
— Increase automation coverage for existing functionality
— Maintain and improve the automation framework
— Prepare test data and integrate automated tests into CI/CD
— Perform manual and exploratory testing when required
— Report defects, collaborate with developers, and contribute to the overall quality of the product

What we expect
— 3+ years of software testing experience, including significant hands-on test automation experience
— Strong experience in end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript
— Experience testing desktop applications
— Practical experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code or similar) as part of day-to-day development
— Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks (page objects, fixtures, helpers), not only writing specs against ready-made ones
— Experience preparing test data at API/backend level
— Experience integrating and maintaining automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
— Ability to identify and eliminate flaky tests and improve test execution reliability
— Understanding of client–server communication over WebSocket
— Solid Git and Pull Request workflow knowledge, including participation in code review
— Clear, structured written communication for test documentation and defect reporting
— Experience with manual and exploratory testing
— Confident hands-on use of test management and defect tracking tools, integrated with Jira
