Executive Summary
Impressit partnered with GoLocker to enhance their B2C system, initially addressing bugs and architectural flaws before planning a comprehensive rewrite. The launch of GoLocker's Freemium plan marked a significant milestone, particularly in the context of the LockerNYC initiative.
Impressit's contributions extended to ensuring robust security through DevOps and SecOps integration, as well as the setup of user behavior tracking tools. The ongoing partnership reflects mutual trust, with plans to overhaul the existing system for improved scalability and to develop a B2B component for enhanced communication with package delivery carriers.

Client Background
GoLocker aims to simplify the delivery process and provide a convenient, sustainable, and secure solution for both shoppers and brands. The company is creating a network of brand-agnostic package lockers across New York City.
Utilizing secure logistics technology, GoLocker enables consumers and retailers to route packages to their nearest locker location, handling all delivery and shipment processes. GoLocker partners with major mail carriers like USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL to streamline the delivery process.
Challenges and Objectives
When Impressit began the cooperation with GoLocker, our team encountered the existing B2C part of the system, intended for work with customers, which was written some time ago. So, the architecture needed to be updated for scalability. Initially, our primary focus was to address the issues of the existing system and maintain it. However, with the plan to transfer the system to a new architecture, rewrite it logically and clearly from scratch.
An interesting experience for us was the involvement of our marketing specialist, who joined the project to help GoLocker set up the user behavior tracking system. After evaluating the pros and cons of Google Analytics and Mixpanel, the choice was made in favor of Mixpanel. Then our marketer adjusted it so that the GoLocker team would receive all the necessary reports on user behavior.
Value Delivered
One of the deliverables our team helped implement was the timely launch of the GoLocker Freemium plan. In April 2024, GoLocker, in partnership with the Department of Transportation and the government of New York City, successfully launched LockerNYC, a program aimed at combating package theft and cutting down emissions. The introduction of the freemium plan was one of the important conditions of the LockerNYC launch.
Another important contribution the Impressit team made was the integration of both DevOps and SecOps. Since a lot of sensitive data is involved (names, addresses, phone numbers), both mail carriers and clients must be assured that GoLocker's system is safe and secure. Our DevOps specialist checked if the system had any vulnerabilities and took the necessary measures to ensure the highest safety standards for GoLocker products.
The strong partnership between GoLocker and the Impressit development team is highlighted by the client's trust and plans for future collaboration. Currently, our team supports the existing system and is preparing to rewrite the old code and migrate it to a new, more advanced architecture that will make the system more flexible and scalable. In addition, the plans include the development of the B2B part of the application, which will enable GoLocker to communicate with various mail carriers with whom they cooperate.
